چکیده
Abstract Physical vapor deposition (PVD) sputtering is a promising technique for the generation of electrically conductive coatings on complex structured biomaterials, such as nonwovens, that can be used in implants. The ultra-thin fulfil variety purposes, drug depot or biosensor. aim our studies was to determine feasibility generating thin silver (Ag) poly-L-lactide (PLLA) nonwovens by and their morphological characterization. PVD sputter process performed using customized plasma chamber rotation tender electrospun PLLA nonwovens. Morphological analysis revealed homogenous Ag coating, representing structure

Growth kinetic study of Sputter Deposition : Ag on Si / SiO
We have presented the kinetic study of the very initial growth stages of an ultra thin film (40Å-150Å) of Ag sputter-deposited on Si(001) substrate containing native oxide using grazing incidence x-ray reflectivity (GIXR) technique and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). We observe that the film consists of mounds with the presence of voids. The thickness 'd xray ' and the packing fraction 'η' of th...
متن کاملFiltration properties of nonwovens.
This paper presents the results and conclusions from experimental investigations concerning filtration properties of nonwovens. The needled nonwovens were made from polyester fibres (PTE) with average fibre diameter 12 micrometres and polypropylene fibres (PP) with average fibre diameter 32 micrometres. Nonwovens were produced out of each of those fibres or out of a mixture of polyester and pol...
متن کاملPLLA scaffolds with biomimetic apatite coating and biomimetic apatite/collagen composite coating to enhance osteoblast-like cells attachment and activity
Novel scaffolds composed of poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) skeleton covered with bonelike apatite or apatite/collagen composite were produced via a combined phase-separation technique and an accelerated biomimetic coating process. Saos-2 osteoblast-like cells were used to evaluate the cellular behaviors on these biomimetic coatings. Cell morphologies on the surfaces of PLLA scaffolds, PLLA scaffold...
متن کاملToF-SIMS Depth Profiling of a Complex Polymeric Coating Employing a C60 Sputter Source
A complex poly(vinylidene difluoride) (PVdF)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) based coil coating formulation has been investigated using time-of-flight SIMS (ToFSIMS). Employing a Bi3 + analysis source and a Buckminsterfullerene (C60) sputter source, depth profiles were obtained through the polymeric materials in the outer few nanometres of the PVdF topcoat. These investigations demonstrate tha...
متن کاملDrug loaded nanoparticle coating on totally bioresorbable PLLA stents to prevent in-stent restenosis.
Biodegradable polymer poly (dl-lactide) (PDLLA) has been used as drug coating material for drug-eluting stents due to its excellent biocompatibility and sustained drug release ability. However, the uniform thin layer drug eluting coating on a stent not only inhibits the blood vessel's smooth muscle cell overgrowth but also delay the endotheliation process which is often associated with the occu...
